Overalls

Something almost all students have in common is that they own a pair of student overalls. The overalls are a multi-purpose piece of clothing fit for creating a sense of belonging, protecting your clothes from spreads and projectiles, identification of what another person is studying, partying and extreme activities protective gear.

Overalls vary in details and coloring depending on what you are studying and in which university. Digit ry members wear black overalls with white prints and with a yellow embroidered guild emblem at the back of the overall. The overalls are worn to student parties and other student events, sillises and excursions unless stated otherwise.

Digit’s freshmen get their overalls during their starting semester. The overalls are fitted and ordered during first weeks of September. If you are an exchange student and/or you’re starting your studies after September, you can contact the guild board for options digit[at]utu.fi.

By attending student parties and events every student starts their own, unique collection of overall patches. These patches can be and usually are sewn on overalls to make the overalls look nicer and perhaps more unique, to show proof of activity or just to present one's handicraft skills.
